Christos Giacomopoulos noted the importance of the Commissioner's work on objective documentation of violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes, as well as good coordination with the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and Ukrainian and international partners.

The colleague offered assistance from the Council of Europe in training representatives of human rights defenders and non-governmental organizations in order to better record war crimes for further cooperation in informing the Commissioner.

I was assured of a swift response from the Directorate General for Human Rights and the Rule of Law of the Council of Europe to gross violations of the rights of Ukrainian citizens in the face of full-scale russian aggression.

Within the framework of our mandates, we have agreed to continue to work together to document war crimes and human rights violations and to assist our citizens both in Ukraine and abroad.
