В Палаці Європи у Страсбурзі провела зустріч з Генеральним секретарем Ради Європи Марією Пейчинович-Бурич.

Подякувала Генеральному секретарю за швидку реакцію на агресію росії і допомогу нашим громадянам на території держав-членів Ради Європи.

Пані Пейчинович-Бурич наголосила, що невиправдана і неспровокована агресія Росії проти України є кричущим порушенням Статуту Ради Європи і Європейської конвенції з прав людини.

Надала інформацію щодо діяльності Уповновженого в умовах воєнного стану та роботу цілодобової гарячої лінії. Разом у координації з національними слідчими органами та міжнародними партнерами, такими як Міжнародний кримінальний суд та Комісія Ради ООН з прав людини з розслідування злочинів росії в Україні, продовжуємо роботу із документування воєнних злочинів рашистських військ в Україні.

Пані Генеральний секретар відзначила важливість роботи Уповноваженого з документування порушень прав людини для подальшого належного формування юридичних процедур для притягнення до відповільності кожного злочинця держави-агресора.

Пані Пейчинович-Бурич визначила напрями нашої співпраці, зокрема: поширення інформації та підвищення обізнаності щодо війни в Україні; посилення спроможності задля документування, обробки та зберігання інформації щодо воєнних злочинів в базі данних; забезпечення потреб інституції Уповноваженого, зокрема гарячих ліній; посилення і підтримка роботи національного превентивного механізму.

Генеральний секретар запевнила, що у своїй непохитній єдності Рада Європи буде сприяти якнайшвидшому встановленню миру в Україні та поверненню до наших «мирних сфер співпраці».

Закликала Генерального секретаря Ради Європи сприяти залученню всіх механізмів цієї міжнародної організації для прийняття рішень щодо надання зброї, фінансової допомоги Україні та посилення санкційного тиску на рф.

At the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg, had a meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Maria Peichinovich-Burich.

I’ve thanked the Secretary General for his quick response to Russia's aggression and for helping our citizens in the territory of the member states of the Council of Europe.

Ms. Peichinovych-Burych stressed that Russia's unjustified and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine is a flagrant violation of the Statute of the Council of Europe and the European Convention on Human Rights.

Provided information on the activities of the Commissioner in martial law and the operation of the 24-hour hotline. Together with national investigative bodies and international partners such as the International Criminal Court and the UN Human Rights Commission to Investigate Russia's Crimes in Ukraine, we continue to document the war crimes of racist troops in Ukraine.

The Secretary-General noted the importance of the work of the Commissioner for the Documentation of Human Rights Violations for the further proper development of legal procedures for bringing to justice every criminal of the aggressor state.

Ms. Peichynovych-Burych identified the areas of our cooperation, in particular: dissemination of information and raising awareness about the war in Ukraine; capacity building for documenting, processing and storing information on war crimes in a database; meeting the needs of the institution of the Commissioner, in particular hotlines; strengthening and supporting the work of the national preventive mechanism.

The Secretary General assured that in its unshakable unity the Council of Europe will promote the establishment of peace in Ukraine as soon as possible and return to our "peaceful spheres of cooperation".

Called on the Secretary General of the Council of Europe to promote the involvement of all mechanisms of this international organization for decision-making on the provision of weapons, financial assistance to Ukraine and increasing sanctions on Russia.
