Непрямі запитання

Ані tell, ані say не можуть вводити непрямі запитання.

Bill asked whether I wanted to see a film. (NOT Bill said whether I wanted to see a film. OR Bill told me whether …)
Біл запитав, чи я хочу подивитися фільм.

Але як tell, так і say можуть вводити відповіді на запитання.

Has she said who’s coming?
Вона сказала, хто прийде?

He only told one person where the money was.
Він сказав тільки одній людині, де гроші.
