QA Automation Engineer (web, Java)
to TuneIn

Duties:
• responsible for ensuring the quality of all web products
• automate testing of new and updated product features on our website and our internal content management tool
• update or create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases, if needed.
• identify, record, documents, track bugs, and perform thorough regression testing and daily automation test results
• work with developers to provide additional research and debugging of issues when more information is needed to resolve problems
• provide daily status updates to all assigned sprint tasks
• collaborate with other automation engineers to maintain and expand our Selenium test suite as well as our mobile Appium test suite.
• improve QA efficiency using new tools and processes
• build and/or maintain CI/CD Pipelines for Test Automation using tools such as Bitrise and TeamCity.
• hold teammates and yourself to high engineering standards by advocating a sense of urgency, ownership and accountability.
• drive meaningful technical discussions/improvements during tactical meetings.
• support other types of quality targets such as performance, load and stress testing
Requirements:
• 3+ years of software quality assurance experience
• strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• strong knowledge of web automation frameworks like Selenium (being familiar with Appium as well is a plus)
• experience with Java, Junit, TestNG
• comfortable working with our onshore and offshore team members
• experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• experience using third party Web Debugging Proxy tools like Charles or Fiddler
• experience working with bug tracking tools such as JIRA
• strong attention to detail, regarding web design and usability
• track record of good time management, prioritizing projects and estimating work
• ability to be a team player and drive collaborative efforts to improve product quality
• ability to work in high-pressured environment and work independently and in a team environment
• understanding of Agile Development Methodology (Scrum)
