Ordinary heroism: Lysychansk doctors delivered a baby under shelling
On April 19, due to the coordinated actions of military and civilian doctors, a 17-year-old girl gave birth to a healthy boy in Girske. The 17-year-old resident of Girske started having baby during a regular mortar attack of the town. Like always, military doctors came to the rescue and delivered the woman to the maternity hospital in Lysychansk by ambulance. Despite the continuous shelling, the medical team immediately started performing Caesarian section for health reasons. A healthy boy weighing 3 kg 150 g and 50 cm tall was born. “The mother and her baby feel well and receive all the necessary help” it was said by Health Department of Luhansk regional military administration.
