Dear compatriots!
Today we have got the most important Orthodox feast – an Easter Sunday. We were used to go to our churches with Easter baskets. But today it is impossible - they have already been "visited by the Slavic brothers": seven temples in Luhansk region have been mutilated by the Russian artillery.
Starting 2014, on Easter, believers of all faiths were united by a prayer for peace in Ukraine: “Let all nations be aware of their duty to care about keeping the peace and firmly commit themselves along the path of unity, in love with one another. God bless those, who dedicate themselves to the great thing as peacemaking!” - was heard in every temple.
These words have acquired new meaning today and we pronounce them from our hearts.
Victory of good over evil, light over darkness, dignity over dishonor are no longer religious, but very specific categories for us.
