Росія звикла нав‘язувати світові брехню — своє альтернативне бачення історії та імперські наративи.

До 8 березня шанований мною Світовий Економічний Форум опублікував перелік із шести жінок, що змінили світову історію. Почесно, що до цього списку увійшла і наша Княгиня Ольга, рівноапостольна свята, чию пам‘ять водночас шанують українські православна та католицька церкви.

Уявіть моє обурення, коли я прочитав, що Світовий форум іменує нашу Княгиню російською правителькою та основоположницею сучасної Росії. А її чоловіка, Князя Ігоря, вирішили прозвати Іваном

Княгиня Ольга справді була визначною правителькою, що підкорила бунтівні племена, здійснила першу державну реформу та започаткувала міцні дипломатичні зв‘язки із Західною Європою.

От тільки Русь зі столицею в Києві існувала на території сучасних України, Білорусі та Росії, а тому Княгиня Ольга ніяк не може вважатись прародителькою Російської Федерації, адже Московське Князівство було засноване лише через понад 300 років після її смерті.

Щодня ми стаємо свідками того, наскільки важливим є захист не лише інформаційного простору, але й власної культурної спадщини, коли елементами ворожої пропаганди можуть стати навіть авторитетні міжнародні інституції.

Прошу команду World Economic Forum негайно виправити помилки у описі однієї з найвідоміших жінок в Українській історії та ретельніше перевіряти свої джерела.

Russia has used to imposing lies on the world, its alternative outlook on history and imperial narratives

To mark the 8th of March, the World Economic Forum, which I deeply respect, published a list of six women who changed the history of the world. It is of a great honor that in this list was also included our Princess Olha, a saint Equal of the Apostles, whose memory is honored by the Ukrainian Orthodox and Catholic churches at the same time.

Could you imagine my indignation when I have read that the World Economic Forum termed our Princess a Russian ruler and a founder of modern Russia. And her husband, Prince Ihor, they have decided to call Ivan.

Indeed, Princess Olha was a prominent ruler who conquered rebellious tribes, carried out the first ever state reform, as well as she established strong diplomatic ties with Western Europe.

But with its capital in Kyiv Rus’ existed on the territory of modern Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, and therefore Princess Olha cannot be considered an ancestor of the Russian Federation, because the Moscow Principality would be founded only more than 300 years after she passed away.

Every day we witness how important it is to protect not only the information space, but also our own cultural heritage, when even competent international institutions could become parts of hostile propaganda.

I ask the team of World Economic Forum to correct the mistakes in the description of one of the most famous women in Ukrainian history without delay and check its sources more closely.
