The Triarii are the first and most numerous elite troops of Kiith. Boarders, drop troops and assaulters, they live up to their insignia - this is a lance that finds and thrusts into weaker points of the enemy defenses and if necessary has enough strength to break through even the most fortified lines with assistance of Centurions and heavy fire support. Triarii often engage in fierce close combat in the cramped spaces of ship hulls, bunker complexes or tight urban areas, so their arsenal includes boarding axes and assault shields, as well as weapons with a short effective range but unprecedented firepower. However, they can as easily carry heavy long-range weaponry or indirect fire auxillary weapons for open-field engagement.
