Dear Friends and Colleagues!
Dear members of academic community worldwide!

Today, 24 February 2022, terrorist regime of Russia attacked Ukraine. Since today this is not any more about possibility of aggression. This is about real war: about shelling of the military infrastructure, airports and multiple peaceful cities around Ukraine; about russian tanks, crossing Ukrainian borders; putin’s soldiers sieging Ukrainian cities and towns. This is about deaths of Ukrainian warriors and civilians, including children, killed on the battlefields and at the homes. This is about martial law imposed on the whole territory of Ukraine.
This is, definitely, about full stop of any school and university activity, as many students and faculty had to urgently leave their places, some locations around Ukraine are cut out of electricity and internet connection.
Academic community can’t keep silence on this unheard-of war! You, academics, know the Europe’s history of the 20th century the best, the history of the 2nd world war and its consequences for Europe and the world. We jointly must stop this bloody farce!
We call universities, academic institutions in Europe and around the world to stand up with Ukraine against putin’s regime, against ruining the fundamentals of peace, security and democracy in Europe and in the world. This is not putin’s war to Ukraine, free, proud and beautiful country in the heart of Europe. This is putin’s war to the whole Europe and the world. Therefore it is our joint task - to defend democracy, Ukraine, Europe and the world against the aggression of a Eurasian dictatorship.
Ukrainians will oppose the aggressor, sacrificing their lives. You, our academic colleagues worldwide, should be heard with your clear and laud messages on support to Ukraine. Messages, addressing international organizations, your governments, your colleagues, and citizens of your countries!
