More than 80% of Western companies continue to operate in Russ | Ukraine Watch

More than 80% of Western companies continue to operate in Russia after the start of the war and pay taxes to the country's budget, German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung discovered.

Before the war 1,387 Western companies operated in Russia, and after the war there are 1,146 of them left.

Their combined turnover is estimated at $213.9 billion and profits at $14.1 billion. They paid about $3.5 billion in taxes to the state budget.

Among the major Western companies remaining in Russia are Philip Morris, Japan Tobacco, Pepsi, Danone, Metro, Mars and Procter&Gamble.
