Today we visited an exhibition of Dalì watercolors dedicated to Divine Comedy by Dante in Kyiv.
Salvador Dalì received a project from the Italian government in 1951 to create a series of prints depicting each "song" of the Comedy.
However, society disapproved that a Spanish artist should work on the Italian greatest piece of literature, so the project was soon canceled.
Dalì, who admired Dante deeply, finished 100 images and printed them in 1964.
