The only goal in a dispute is to find the truth

Unfortunately, I've noticed that too many ppl having arguments like it's a political TV show. Their goal is not to find the truth but make themselves look cool and make a fool out of their opponent.

They don't even try to avoid cognitive biases. No. Rather, they try to use them in order to assert their opinion.

If your interlocutor is unable to admit his biases or behaves in the disrespectful manner, the best thing you can do is to stop wasting your time.

Btw, I can recommend Thinking Fast & Slow by Daniel Kaneman as a good book about biases. Also, I will attach a set of stickers, which can be quite useful
