Moving Russian capital from Moscow to the Urals?

Russian politicians have been discussing it for years. The idea was initially proposed by Shoigu in 2012, and allegedly supported by Putin two years later.
In 2023, the idea of moving Russian capital to Krasnoyarsk, was mentioned again, this time by billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who is also known for laundering Russia's president money.

"The future interests of Russia are here in Asia", says Putin's friend Deripaska. "Our government system has to be changed. I have always been wondering, why we need a capital in Moscow, if the area of Russia's interest is in Asia? It would be a different range for missiles, and everything else would look different, if the capital was in Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk".
