Russian soldier's family had to sell a cow in order to buy him army equipment

35-year-old Stanislav Rybin who lives in a village near Omsk, went to war voluntarily. When army conscription was announced [in September 2022], he immediately came to the city military unit and asked to join the army.

His 67-year-old mother Emma Belkova did not support Stanislav's idea: “I have cousins who live in Kiyv and Odesa. So many boys have already died! I don't want my son and other kids to die [in the war]”, said Emma.

Despite this, she decided to equip her son for the front. In September, she and her husband sold their last cow and bought Stanislav a sleeping bag, thermal underwear, knee pads, a walkie-talkie, winter boots and medicines for the future.

Stanislav ended up in a colony, sentenced to 6 years, for attacking the commander.
