Lubinets said that Russians kept a boy in one of the chambers in Balakliya for 90 days. "He said that he was tortured: they cut him with a knife, heated metal and burned a part of his body, several times they took him to the execution and shot him over the head," the ombudsman said.

In one of the torture chambers in Kherson, there was a separate cell where children were kept. "It was recorded that children were given water every two days, and almost no food. They used psychological pressure: they told them that their parents had abandoned them, and that they would not return," Lubinets said.
