KitRUM is a custom software development company from sunny Florida with development centers in Ukraine that help startups and tech companies in the US, EU, and Australia to build software engineering teams.

Now KitRUM is looking for a Middle/Senior AWS Developer.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience;
• Strong understanding of AWS platform services and their strengths/weaknesses;
• Experience managing clustered data applications;
• Experience working to improve 24/7 on-call rotations, reduce alert fatigue, and improve automation;
• Ability to read code written in Python;
• Ability to write code in Terraform, Go, Python, and/or Bash;
• Ability to debug YAML;
• Understanding CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent;
• Experience in automation/configuration management using Terraform or equivalent;
• Level of English Upper-Intermediate.

It will be a plus:

• GCP or Azure experience.

Responsibilities:

• Be a part of implementing the infrastructure as code to support the continued growth of Scribd’s foundation;
• Be part of the team which manages our growing AWS-based data platform infrastructure, which includes Kafka (MSK), Databricks, Airflow, Elasticsearch, MySQL (RDS), and several container-based services;
• Help provide key components to our backend technology stack such as:
container orchestration infrastructure, logging services, monitoring and alerting patterns, caching layers, relational/non-relational clustered data storage;
• Educate developers, share your experience and help delegate traditional operational responsibilities to teams.
