Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič is visiting Ukraine today.
The Commissioner will meet with humanitarian organisations and high-level Ukrainian government officials to help coordinate the EU’s crisis response on the ground.
On this occasion, the EU is allocating another €205 million in humanitarian assistance for Ukraine.
This brings total EU humanitarian aid funding in response to Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine to €348 million.
The EU has mobilised all possible resources to provide emergency aid to Ukraine.
This the largest humanitarian operation ever carried out via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
