THE COMMANDER OF THE AIR FORCE MYKOLA OLESHCHUK HAS CALLED ON NATO COLLEAGUES TO CREATE AN AVIATION COALITION

On March 16, 2023, the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk, took part online in the NATO Air Chiefs Symposium.

Mykola Oleschuk briefly informed his colleagues about the current situation in the main axes of hostilities and emphasized the need to build up Ukraine's air defense, both the ground component and air one.

- Gentlemen, I am glad to take part in this meeting today and thank everyone for supporting Ukraine at this difficult time, - Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk addressed the participants of the Symposium. - At the same time, I am appealing to you to step up efforts to provide the Air Force of Ukraine with modern multi-purpose fighters of the fourth generation, which are capable of effectively protecting our country from russian air terrorist strikes, as well as providing powerful air support to ground troops, for the liberation and deoccupation of Ukrainian territory.

The commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also added that only joint, coordinated actions of partners can help Ukraine in receiving western multi-purpose aircraft as soon as possible. A clear example of achieving this goal is the tank coalition.

- I would like to have your support and I urge you to create a coalition under the slogan "Victory on earth is made in the skies!" - Mykola Oleschuk added.
