The Russian army hit

In Zaporizha oblast, no single
humanitarian corridor was open today. Negotiations about opening the corridors continue. French President Emmanuel Macron had a phone conversation with Putin. No agreement about the evacuation from Mariupol was achieved. On the positive side, five hundred civilians were evacuated from Luhansk oblast.
Mariupol City Council claimed that
occupants kidnapped and transported to Russia over 70 people from the maternal hospital, both patients and medical personnel. According to the Council estimates, over 20 thousand Ukrainians have already been kidnapped from Mariupol. The Ministry of foreign affairs estimates the total number of kidnapped Ukrainians at 40,000.
Russia
withdraws some troops from Kyiv and Chernihiv, as they failed to achieve the initial goals. At the same time, the threat of strikes on military and civilian infrastructure remains high - General Staff of Ukraine
Negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian sides took place in Turkey. Ukraine suggested the following steps to end the war:
- Sign an international agreement that will firmly fix security guarantees for Ukraine. Among the guarantors, Ukraine suggests the UN Security Council countries, including the United Kingdom, China, the United States, France, Turkey, Germany, Canada, Poland, and Israel.
- The guarantor countries will be required to provide assistance, including military and sky protection, after at most three days of mutual consultations.
Ukraine invites other countries to join this security agreement as equal partners.
- Issues with the occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea are postponed at the moment, the guarantors will not work in these territories yet
The Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, and the Czech Republic decided to
expel Russian diplomats for alleged espionage. In the previous days, all three Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) also declared several Russian diplomats “personas non grata”.
Ukrainian Prime-minister Denys Shmyhal announced today that the
estimated losses of Ukraine at the moment have reached
$1 trillion USD (including the immediate infrastructure loss, 35% GDP fall this year, and an estimated GDP decrease in the following years compared to the pre-war period).
