Top news: The KRAIL Member Is Suspected in Сorruption The KRAIL (the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries) member has been arrested while accepting bribes in the amount of $90 000 for providing the permit for premises and a gambling license. The arrested person is Eugene Hetman, a member of the regulatory body, who has performed the KRAIL’s Chief’s duties at the beginning of August.
Initially, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has informed that the arrested person is the KRAIL’s Chief, Ivan Rudy. However, the Сommittee has denied the information, saying that there is a search in the regulatory body’s premises, but any accusations haven’t been brought against Ivan Rudy.
In the summer, NABU got information about the corruption scheme. To reveal it, the Bureau together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) conducted investigative activities. Within the investigation, the KRAIL member’s corruption proposals were recorded/.
