A gambling addict will gamble every last dime away to win it back and will lose, maintaining the belief that he or she can win the money back, nonetheless. So, harm to yourself and your surroundings is the main difference between a regular gambler and an addict.
Most of the gambling addicts are men, as they have more freedom while the women have certain limitations, like family or maternal instinct. Single people who do not enjoy life are also at risk, even those who already have some kind of addiction, such as social media or smartphones, are in even bigger danger.
