Memorandum on Advertising of Gambling in Ukraine.
At the session of the Ukrainian Gambling Council (
UGC), representatives of 11 officially registered casinos and sportsbooks have approved a Memorandum on gambling advertising.
According to the approved document, licensees are prohibited from placing ads in the following sources:
radio and television (cable, online, digital, satellite) from 06:00 to 23:00
all publications except those devoted to gambling
all media, except specialized press sources
exterior and interior surfaces of vehicles and subway
outdoor advertising
goods for those under 21 years old
venues where events for those under 21 years old are held
At the same time, the advertising should not convey the idea that it is easy to win in games of chance and that gambling can be a source of income or a job alternative.
Notably, operators were not left much room to promote their services, but they still found ways to advertise legally.
