Following from our message last week, we wanted to update you on what Diamond can offer in terms of support for Ukrainian families so that you can share with your network:

The UK Government has issued the process on how UK citizens can sponsor families and there has been an overwhelming response from the public, which is great news.

If you have family or friends in need of re-settlement and they would be prepared to come to the UK, please do get in touch with me directly as we can ensure practical help on this front through our network of volunteers here within Diamond. Through the efforts of individuals from our team, the first Ukrainian family connected to our community will hopefully arrive in the UK later this week.

As part of the UK Government scheme, it will make it easier to employ Ukrainian nationals. Diamond is gathering all our job vacancies and we would be most grateful if you could pass these on in due course.

2022-03-10 16:44:42 Kyiv Academic University (KAU), the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW) and Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) support Ukrainian scientists who had to leave their home country as a result of the invasion by the Russian army. The scholarship program is designed to enable them to continue their research work for at least a limited time in Dresden. In addition to using our own funds, we coordinate funding from the Leibniz Association, the Volkswagen Foundation and the Free State of Saxony. The Ukraine Scientific Scholarship Program Dresden is a continuation and extension the UKRATOP program.
