There were 186 air sirens in Ukraine on 24-th of August, which was the anniversary of our country’s Independence Day. We used to go outside to celebrate this day in the past and in spite of the sirens, we did it this year too. Every Ukrainian celebrated it differently, it seems more mature, more responsible and louder this year. As we fight for our freedom.
QATestLab Training Center keeps informing you about the war in Ukraine, so here is a short two week digest.

Friends stand still. On 24-th of August Kyiv hosted some of the world leaders that have been supporting Ukraine, such as the president of Poland Andrzej Duda and the Premier Minister of England – Boris Johnson. Both guests have shown their friendly support of Ukraine, as well as congratulation of the Ukrainian nation.

However there is always a bitter spoon. On that day there were other terrors. Russian attacked the Chaplyne town rail station in the Dnipro region. Five of the victims of the attack in the eastern town of Chaplyne burnt to death in a vehicle, officials said. Two boys aged six and 11 were also killed.The head of the board of «Ukrzaliznytsia», Oleksandr Kamyshin, clarified that three railway workers were among the 25 victims of the attack on the station. And among the 31 wounded are four railway lawyers.

On the 24-th of August, the self-proclaimed government of DNR with their head - Pushylin- was supposed to hold a trial on the soldiers of the Azov regiment that had been earlier captured in Olenivka. The latest news from Mariupol states that the building of philharmonic, where the trial was supposed to be held was mined by the provocateurs from the occupants side. Such news ache each Ukrainian, not only mothers, sisters, brothers and significant ones of the captured, but the whole nation awaits for heroes to come home because there is always hope.

Occupants continue terrorizing the Zaporizhiya Nuclear Power Plant. There is growing concern over fighting near the complex, which is the largest nuclear plant in Europe. Russian tried to disconnect Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant from grid, which could lead to the catastrophic failure of cooling systems, says head of Ukraine’s atomic energy company. Bloomberg stated that the IAEA representatives are to visit Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant on 5-th of September.

Ukrainians fight back defending everything they have in all fronts whether it is military battlefront, media or art and everyone of us is grateful to those who continue spreading the truth about war, donating or hosting our people abroad. This will never be forgotten and those kind people will be greeted gracefully on Ukrainian lands after the victory. Greetings from Ukraine! We, the Training Center of the QATestlab, continue to inform you about the war happening in Ukraine. As the brightest moments come after the darkest ones, Ukrainians are full of hope that the dawn of victory is soon happening.

Here are the digest of the events that happened in Ukraine for the last two weeks:

Olenivka tragedy
On the morning of 29 July, Russian-aligned propaganda media reported the shelling of a prison camp in Olenivka, Donetsk Oblast, reporting that at least 53 PoWs were killed. Later on the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) disclosed intercepted telephone conversations in which Russian occupiers confirm that Russian troops were responsible for the explosion in the prison camp in Russian-occupied Olenivka, which killed at least 53 Ukrainian PoWs. The former commander of the Azov Regiment, Maksym Zhorin reported that the identities of killed in the explosion in occupied Olenivka have been confirmed. Zhorin also believes that the UN and the ICRC, as guarantors of the health and lives of military personnel who have been transferred from Azovstal and detained in Olenivka later, must find an opportunity to affect this situation.

Nuclear blackmailing
Around 500 Russian troops are currently at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant with heavy vehicles and moreover the plant is being used as a base. Energoatom's chief, Petro Kotin, confirmed in an interview that last week's Russian shelling had damaged three lines that connect the Zaporizhzhia plant to the Ukrainian grid and that Russia wanted to connect the facility to its grid. The shelling landed near storage facilities for spent fuel, which is an area that has 174 containers of highly radioactive material. It seems like the whole world understands the seriousness of the situation, except the occupants army, whose commander of the garrison Major General Valeriy Vasiliev recently stated in his post: "We do not hide this from the enemy [Ukrainian forces]. We warned them. […] We are ready for the consequences." Due to the 11-th of August, the UN chief as well as G7 members urge immediate halt to military activity near the Ukraine nuclear power plant.

The world continues to support Ukraine
U.S. President Joe Biden has said he wants Ukraine to defeat Russia and has supplied billions of dollars of arms to Kyiv but U.S.officials do not want a direct confrontation between U.S. and Russian soldiers. American support is as noticeable as European one. Beside that, on August 8, the Ambassador of Ukraine in Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar, announced the construction of a Bayraktar factory in Ukraine. He confirmed that the owner of the Turkish company, Baykar, had already established a company in Ukraine, purchased land and developed a manufacturing plant project.

2022-07-29 17:31:44 ​The Training Center is on the line and we continue to share the truth about the new world we live in and the war our nation is fighting in. Here are the latest developments of the war in Ukraine due to the 28-th of July.

Sign of Hope
The Ukrainian armed forces’ counterattack in the district of Kherson region is gaining momentum. Previously the biggest milestone reached in this region by the Ukrainian Army struck the Antonisvskiy bridge which will lead to the liberation of Kherson, citizens of which have been fighting for their freedom since the occupation of the city. «We can say that the Kherson region will definitely be liberated by September, and all the occupiers' plans will fail» stated Serhiy Khlan, an aide to the head of Kherson region.

Attacks continue
As the response to the advances on the Ukrainian army sides, occupant armed forces shell Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions on 28-th of July. Ground fighting is ongoing north of Kharkiv. Due to this, the city Mayor announces building new types of bus stops that will be used as shelters, as the latest strikes are aimed at the transporting facilities within the city. However, Russian forces are able to sustain only two offensive operations in Ukraine, both in Donetsk Oblast, and the Russian offensive remains likely to culminate before seizing additional significant population centers.

Destiny of Grains
Ukraine had restarted operations at its blockaded Black Sea ports as it moved closer to resuming grain exports with the opening of a coordination center to oversee a UN-backed deal. Ukraine and Russia last week agreed to allow grain stranded by Moscow’s naval blockade to be exported from three ports, such a plan was held with the help of Turkey and the United Nations.
The blockage of deliveries from two of the world’s biggest grain exporters has already contributed to a spike in prices that has made food imports prohibitively expensive for some of the world’s poorest countries.

United together
Air defense systems from Britain, antiaircraft weapons from Germany and ammunition from the United States have finally arrived in Ukraine. Six British Stormer HVM air defense systems made it to the front in Ukraine this week, stated the southern military command. Ukrainian request for the heavy weapon is fulfilled and serves for the sake of the future of our Motherland. The presidential platform https://u24.gov.ua/ has already gathered $ 147 697 345 that are being divided according to the needs of the facilities of Ukraine. 2022-07-08 21:25:02 ​It has been 4 months and 1 week since Ukrainians woke up in the harsh reality of «brotherhood love». Some fled, some remained in the motherland, some headed to defend their country, however all of them clearly understood what Ukraine means to them and how they can be helpful. We continue sharing the truth about what is happening in Ukraine, by posting our digest on the media battlefield. As for the 4-th months of the war, there are the following highlights:

Hot points:
As Russian forces consolidate their hold on the Luhansk region, they are also stepping up artillery and other forms of bombardment in Donetsk, with the area around Sloviansk a major target. Here are more detailed highlights: Russian troops are trying to conduct an assault on areas north and northeast of Sloviansk, with several settlements coming under fire from artillery and multiple rocket launchers.
Occupants forces are within 6 or 7 kilometers (3-4 miles) of Bakhmut, which they would have to take in order to launch a concerted offensive against the roughly 45% of Donetsk region that is still in Ukrainian hands. There is rather tense air caused by shelling in the settlements around the city of Kharkiv. Local authorities said a boarding school was hit by shells overnight but reported no casualties. Fights, in order to protect recent gains, continue in Kherson. The General Staff said in the Dobryanks region "our soldiers almost completely destroyed the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance group and successfully repelled the enemy assault that followed it". The Odesa military regional administration stated that two missiles had been fired at Ukrainian infrastructure, destroying two agricultural storage sites.

Brave hearts defend Ukraine:
As the Russian raid hits Kramatorsk and a lot of casualties are reported, the Ukrainian army continues to fight back bravely and non-frightened. As it was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy - Ukrainian forces advancing in Russian-occupied areas. Zelenskyy has told Ukrainians his troops are advancing in areas of the country occupied by Russian forces, particularly in the southern regions of Kherson and Zaporizhia. Beside that, the Western weapons are "working", the President of Ukraine said the Western artillery they have received has "started working very powerfully." In his nightly address on Wednesday, the President said the military was able to strike "depots and other spots that are important for the logistics of the occupiers," and this "significantly reduces the offensive potential of the Russian army".

Coming home:
The Ukrainian flag is again up above the Zmiiny Island in the Black Sea, days after Russian troops left, stated Serhii Bratchuk, spokesman of the Odesa military administration. The reclaimed island has hoisted the flag with a direct message to the occupants, it says: "Remember the Russian warship ... Zmiiny [Snake] Island — this is Ukraine!". Russian forces left Snake Island last week after it was heavily bombarded and its air defenses destroyed.

Stolen grains:
For months, Ukraine and allied countries have been trying to soften a growing food crisis caused by Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports, with Moscow being accused of using food as a weapon of war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said up to 60 million tons of grain could be stuck in the country by the fall if it continues to face blocked exports. Russia has repeatedly denied it is blocking the ports or stealing grain.
The Russian merchant ship, Zhibek Zholy, had carried the grain from the occupied port of Berdiansk to the Turkish port of Karasu.
As Ukrainian allies come together to buy weapons for Ukraine, as Ukrainians crowd-fund it and the International Government supports our side, we believe that victory is coming. It might feel as if it is far, but we are the only ones who measure the distance by fighting on the battlefield in Severodonetsk, by donating money, by sharing the post or simply by educating ourselves about the war situation in Ukraine.
